Buyer Protection

Every purchase, covered.

When you buy on Bootly, a small Buyer Protection fee is added at checkout. It keeps your payment secure and gives you a full refund if something goes wrong.

What Buyer Protection covers

It never arrives

If your parcel is lost in transit or simply never turns up, you get a full refund.

Not as described

If the item is significantly different from the listing — wrong size, undisclosed damage, or a fake — you’re covered.

Secure payment

Your money is held safely and only released to the seller once you confirm everything is fine.

How the fee works

The Buyer Protection fee is paid by the buyer and added on top of the item price at checkout. It’s a fixed 70p plus 5% of the item price. Sellers never pay it, and keep 100% of the price they set.

Item price Buyer Protection fee You pay (excl. shipping) Seller receives
£10.00 £1.20 £11.20 £10.00
£25.00 £1.95 £26.95 £25.00
£50.00 £3.20 £53.20 £50.00

Shipping is charged separately and chosen by the buyer at checkout. The figures above exclude shipping.

If something goes wrong

1

Don’t confirm receipt

If your item hasn’t arrived or isn’t right, simply don’t confirm receipt. Your payment stays protected.

2

Open a dispute

Tell us what happened from the order page. Add photos so we can see the issue clearly.

3

We resolve it

Our team reviews the evidence and, where Buyer Protection applies, issues your refund.
